Do you ever have those moments

where you are sick of the same thought

and want to take a walk away from yourself

and leave that part buried under your pillow?

And you take the rest of yourself into a store

that opens a new portal in your mind

and you can buy new thoughts

that come with emotions you crave

for an additional ten dollars at the checkout counter.

And now you have a new internal friend

who gives you immediate confidence

So you go to a new place to eat and buy vanilla ice cream

and feel sweet.

And when you return to go home

you take a match and burn the old thoughts down

because you do not miss your old friend anymore.
